I look to the ether
The emptiness spiralling by
And all of the planets
The galaxies catching my eye
I'm caught in the wonder;
Which of these planets hold life?
I look to the ether
And I'll wait as the day turns to night
For every sun that rises to the East,
Sky turns to peach to say goodbye,
And every time the sky turns red,
I see you high up there and I’m reminded that I’m fine
Under moonlit skies I’m new
Now I’ve caught a glimpse of you
In the midnight hours I feel empowered
Under moonlit skies I see you
I still see the spinning
Inside my head
We’re still in the winter
Cause time just doesn’t make sense
I look to the ether
And I'm watching the sky turn dark
I hold my excitement
And I'm hoping the clouds will part
And every time the sky turns red,
I see you high up there, a tiny dot of red appears
And just as time brings change I know,
That as I age I’ll grow, and you’ll still watch me way down here
